Cindy oversees the sprouting, growing and harvesting of the hops and medicinal herbs making up the secret herbal blend that goes in every Hoppy Dreams Pillow to help you sleep. She and Al live in Lake Toxaway N.C. with their two dogs, three cats , one horse, and one son Graham - who helps wrangle the alpaca. Cindy has worked with horses for over 40 years and is currently working on getting her certification as a therapeutic riding instructor.

Five years ago, at the ripe old age of 65, Al became a hops farmer and Hoppy Dreams Sleep Company was born. He's passionate about building community and has brought together some of the people he loves most in the world to help others by providing what our bodies need the most - sleep. Hoppy Dreams Sleep Company has been a labor of love and Al is very proud of what his talented team accomplishes together each and every day.

Robin Eubanks

After retiring from the auction and antique business, Robin decided it was the perfect time to sharpen her sewing skills. Her love of vintage quilts and textiles led her to learn machine quilting, as well as sewing home décor accessories and handbags. She also enjoys visiting various local facilities with her certified therapy dog, Frankie. Robin and her husband Jack have happily made their home here in Brevard for over 25 years. 

Kristi Reagor
Kristi brings her eclectic professional background to the Hoppy Dreams Team. From floral design to managing celebrity properties, and from record stores to real estate sales & mortgage funding, Kristi's done it all and brings a breadth of experience to the HDSC table. She loves trying new things and being creative while supporting others and building community. Kristi is a native of Charleston, SC where she currently resides with her granite toting, music making husband, Randy and their cheerleading teenage daughter, Ava. Brevard is Kristi’s home away from home, visiting monthly to keep the bonds strong and to visit a waterfall or two every chance she gets.
Marti Chitwood
With more than four decades of professional experience in the field of health and nutrition, Marti is now focusing on soil restoration, gardening, farming, and herbal apothecaries. Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if the fragrance of the herbs is a little too strong for me at first?

Some people are more sensitive to fragrances than others for a variety of reasons. As a result, your HDSC sachet may need to “air out” for a short time before it is comfortable for you. We recommend hanging it up so that both sides can dissipate some of the fragrance at the same time. This approach will work a little more quickly than if you lay it down on one side. You may also want to consider taking advantage of the “excess fragrance” to enhance the aroma of a closet or laundry room in your home.

I have been looking at your pillows on your Shopify store and I am interested in purchasing one – or more. How do I know which size I need?

Our king and standard pillows are comparable to pillows of those same sizes from most other manufacturers. The exact dimensions are available on our Shopify website if you need them. Our “Mini” pillow is not a common size so it can be used for children, as a travel pillow, or any other situation where you need a somewhat smaller pillow.

What should I do if the fragrance of the herbs fades as it naturally will do over time?

Our natural herb blends will fade slowly over time. Your personal experience will vary depending on how much fragrance you prefer and how long you have had your sachet. When you reach the point when you want to “recharge” your HDSC sachet, all you need to do is visit our Shopify store at and reorder. (You are welcome to order additional pillows and any other HDSC products that are available at that time.)

I want to purchase one – or more – of your pillows for a gift for someone in another area and have it shipped directly to them. How should I do that?

When you want to order a pillow and have it shipped to an address different than the billing address associated with your bankcard, just select different shipping and billing addresses. This can apply for gifts as well as when you are ordering for yourself but have different shipping and billing addresses.

How should I clean my HDSC pillow to maximize its life? 

We recommend “biokleen Bac-Out Stain and Odor Remover” for cleaning all of our pillow products. This product line is safe to use on all water-safe fabrics. It is made of plant-based extracts and enzymes to eliminate tough odors that get trapped in your fabrics. All biokleen products are eco-friendly and non-toxic. They do not contain any artificial fragrances, colors, preservatives and they don’t leave behind any harsh fumes or residue. These products are great for homes with children and/or pets and they are well-tolerated by people and pets with chemical sensitivities and allergies.

Where are my HDSC products being shipped from and/or how long will it take to receive my order?

Your HDSC products are shipped from our fulfillment center in Brevard, North Carolina. The arrival date will depend on the time required for the shipper involved and your shipping address. If you need to expedite shipping for an order, please contact us directly – before you place the order – and we can discuss the specific details at that time. (There may be an extra charge for expedited shipping.)

How can I request a return for a product I purchased from HDSC?
